The Club was recognised for its status as a social, cultural and sporting benchmark for more than a century
The Valencia Philharmonic Society honoured Valencia CF during the third edition of the Institutional Heritage Tribute Concert, an initiative that recognises the history, contribution and relevance of the main centenary institutions in the Valencian Community.
The role of Valencia CF was highlighted during this event held at the Palau de la Música for its unifying vocation throughout more than a century of history, a period in which the Club, from its foundation in 1919 to the present day, has played a leading role in contributing to social, cultural and institutional development.
Valencia CF ambassador and legend Miguel Ángel Bossio was responsible for receiving this recognition from Fernando Rodríguez, president of the Valencia Philharmonic Society, who highlighted the Club’s social and institutional dimension beyond the football pitch, underlining the connection between culture, heritage and Valencian identity.
In addition to Valencia CF, nine other institutions were also recognised, including Valencia General Hospital, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos, the Illustrious College of Court Representatives, Caixa Ontinyent, the Alzira Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative, the Illustrious College of Veterinarians, the Valencian Charity Association, the Benimaclet Musical Instruction Centre and the Olympia Theatre.
During the event, the Valencia Philharmonic Society Chamber Orchestra performed Symphony No. 44 in E minor “Trauer” (1772) by F. J. Haydn and the Sinfonia Concertante K. 364 (1779) by W. A. Mozart.
